The subjects were 293 students in four high schools and 255 their parents who lived in J city, Jeonbuk Province. Data collection was done from Nov. 8 to 20, 2001. Data were analyzed using t-test, frequency and percentage, average, and standard deviation. The results of the study were as follows. The item which showed the highest difference was 'the behavior which students disobey or resist teacher's or their parents' directions.' with 3.30 (students) and 1.87 (parents). The perception of anticipation of the potential that behavioral problem is further developed was significantly different (t=10.82, p=.000). The item which showed the highest difference between high schoolers and their parents was 'the behavior which students often drink alcohol' with 2.82 (students) and 1.92 (parents). In conclusion, there were the significant differences in the perception adolescent's behavioral problems between high schoolers and their parents. The way for decreasing the differences in perception should be further studied, focusing on the communication and understanding between high schoolers and their parents.
